Do I need to fast?
No. This is a random finger-prick glucose test, so you can eat and drink as usual before you come.
When is my venue open?
The challenge runs from 13 November 2026, 10 AM to 15 November 2026, 10 AM (Malaysia time), but each venue screens only during its own listed date and hours. Check your venue in the location finder or in your confirmation email before you travel.
Can I walk in without pre-registering?
Yes. Staff can register you on the spot during the venue’s listed hours, subject to capacity on the day. Pre-registering makes your check-in faster. You can also walk in at a participating Alpro Pharmacy outlet: confirm campaign availability and screening hours with the outlet first.
What should I bring?
Your IC (MyKad) and your registration reference or confirmation email.
What happens after my test?
The screening team explains your reading on the spot and advises whether you should arrange further testing or a doctor’s review. A finger-prick screening does not diagnose diabetes.
Does my screening count towards the record?
Each completed screening within the 48-hour window is recorded for the Malaysia Book of Records challenge, one per person. Pre-registering on its own does not count: the screening does. Official record recognition is subject to verification and approval.
How is my personal information used?
We collect your name, IC number, contact number, email address, preferred venue and your answer about a previous diabetes diagnosis. On the day, the screening team records your glucose reading, the time since your last meal or drink, and where and when you were screened.
Alpro Pharmacy and Diabetes Malaysia use this to manage your registration and screening, to follow up with you about your result, and to verify the record-challenge count, which may include sharing screening records with the Malaysia Book of Records for verification. Your information is handled under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and Alpro Pharmacy’s privacy policy. To access or correct your details, email customercare@alpropharmacy.com.
Campaign terms
The glucose screening is free. One completed screening per person (per IC number) counts towards the challenge. Completing your screening enters you into the mystery-gift lucky draw automatically; prizes and lucky draw rules will be announced once confirmed. Venues and hours may change, and we will email you if your selected venue changes.
